Or suggesting it looks like X car or ripped off Y car:
DIE.

I'd say more of a differential, than a simple derivative.

Seems harsh Bro

Nyah nyah nyah.
(But I do actually think it looks good.)

But it has four wheels, and windows and pedals and it's painted a color.

What if I just call it a pile of crap?
![]() 01/13/2014 at 15:05 |

But no one would ever think of posting it on a color theme day.

Clearly all that just proves how badly the 200 ripped off [CAR].

Unless there is a Chrysler 200x + C which is built, it does not satisfy the equation:
dy/dx = Chrysler 200
Therefore it cannot be a derivative.

Awww....Now I want a 200 fastback. :(

Yeah, but can they integrate it into the Fiat Chrysler portfolio?
![]() 01/13/2014 at 15:18 |

It uses the chassis from Fiat. Maybe it can be integrated by parts.
Parts bins that is.

You'd have to find the anti-derivative of Chrysler then.
I don't think that's possible, even by parts. It was already crazy back in the 1930s (Airflow, etc) and just continued.

Engineer here. I hate all of you.

So frickin sick of the "I think it looks like this" comments.

The Fusion and 200 greenhouses do look awfully similar. Can't imagine that's not by design.

It's a fucking pandemic, man. Car (and most other) design is, was, and always will be mildly derivative, if you want to call it that.
It's honestly gotten to the point that if a car has large, rounded hunches and doesn't have a trunk that's as well-defined and squared off as a Fox-body Mustang's that someone is going to say it's ripping off something else. It's insane.

Yeah.
Cars/trucks have to have at least relatively similar designs in shape. That's how it gets into its class, compact, mid-size, large sedan, pickup, etc.

You mean about how all new cars are designed aerodynamically and comply with safety standards?

It's a travesty, man. Where are the isosceles triangle-shaped cars I was promised?!
